Just got back from SXSW
And saw a bunch of great gay documentaries! But the best one by far was Before You Know it, which followed three gay seniors and explored some of the challenges they face. I’m going to post some reviews tomorrow so get excited! (Or don’t, be lame, whatever)
If you haven’t seen Paris is Burning yet, take 75 minutes and make yourself a better, more fierce human by watching it. Even if you have seen it, time for a refresher course in realness. Enjoy the time when queer culture was in its pure, non-mainstreamed state.
This is my favorite joke in the movie and everybody always misses it :(
